Within a short distance of the cottages you'll find world famous literary, food and music festivals, stunning hillwalking and mountain biking in the Galloway Hills and Galloway Forest Park and some of the best scenery and wildlife in Scotland.
The cottages are a short drive away from two of the world class 7 Stanes mountain bike trails at Kirroughree (15mins) and Glentrool (20mins).

Galloway Forest Park attracts around 800,000 visitors per year and is a highlight of any visit to the Wigtownshire region of Dumfries & Galloway.
Glenwhan Gardens has been described as one of the most beautiful newly made gardens in Scotland, with unique & stunning sea views across to the Isle of Man, Luce Bay, and the Mull of Galloway.
